Readability & Diversity
Score several texts at once on Flesch, Flesch–Kincaid, Gunning Fog, SMOG, Coleman–Liau and ARI, plus MTLD and HD-D vocabulary diversity.
Analyze. Compare formulas side by side.
Check the densest sentences, then download CSV.
Add text or try the sample. Everything runs on this device; nothing is uploaded.
Add the texts to compare.
Paste several texts in one box: start each with a line such as ### Chapter 1, or add TXT files (each becomes one text).
English formulas; syllables are estimated by rule, so expect small differences from other tools. Up to 400,000 characters.

Method & interpretation.
Readability. Flesch Reading Ease (higher = easier), Flesch–Kincaid grade, Gunning Fog, SMOG (McLaughlin 1969), Coleman–Liau and ARI; the consensus grade is the mean of the five grade formulas. Formulas only see sentence and word length, not meaning or reader knowledge.
MTLD (McCarthy & Jarvis 2010) is the mean length of word runs that keep a type–token ratio above 0.72, averaged forwards and backwards. HD-D is the expected proportion of types in a random 42-token sample (hypergeometric). Both are far less sensitive to text length than raw TTR.
